Automated External Defibrillation (AED) for Targeted Responders

This program is designed to strengthen the Chain of Survival and provide training on 1 and 2 rescuer adult CPR and Automatic External Defibrillators (AED’s). Responders may include workplace first aid providers, security personnel, lifeguards, or professional firefighters. Emergency Oxygen Administration & Airway Management

A 4-hour program designed to meet the training and continuing education requirements of first responders This program can be modified to meet the needs of emergency care providers who may be required to manage patients in the pre-hospital setting. The objectives are to establish and provide guidelines in the application and use of airway management techniques: oxygen, ventilation and related delivery systems in emergency patient care situations. Skills and competence are acquired through theoretical and practical components.

Intermediate Cardiac Life Support

This program (ICLS) is a comprehensive course designed to meet the training and continuing education requirements of emergency health care providers. The core educational objective of the program is to provide a practical approach to the evaluation and management of the first ten minutes of a witnessed adult, cardiac arrest. The goal is to have each ICLS provider succeed in acquiring the skills and knowledge required for adult resuscitation.

Throughout the course, participants increase their familiarity with the concepts, principles and practices of patient assessment, airway management, oxygenation, ventilation, cardiac symptom relief and defibrillation while increasing their level of confidence, competence, and ease of use of intermediate adjuncts and equipment.

This is a 10 hour case-based educational program designed to “ bridge the gap” between basic cardiac life support and advanced cardiac life support. The focus is on a systematic, practical approach to dealing with acute coronary distress and adult cardiac arrest.

Emergency Trauma Life Support
