How to use this FAQ

Open the question that matches the readiness job.

These answers are general program guidance. Exact product compatibility, course requirements and site coverage must be confirmed for the specific request.

Equipment and bundles

Start with the environment, not an isolated device.

A complete program considers the device, placement, accessories, responder needs and follow-through together.

What is included in a complete AED readiness bundle?

The exact contents vary by site. A bundle review should consider the selected AED, compatible carrying or cabinet option, signage, response essentials, practical orientation or training, and a plan for replacement and inspection follow-through.

How do we choose between Philips and Stryker?

Compare the exact model and configuration against the environment, responder profile, placement plan, child-response needs, language requirements and long-term supply path. A brand name alone is not enough to determine fit.

How many AEDs does a site need?

Coverage depends on layout, floors, access restrictions, occupancy and response time. Use AED Finder for a starting path, then have HeartSafe review the actual site before treating a quantity as final.

Can accessories be selected by brand alone?

No. Confirm the exact device family, model and configuration before ordering pads, batteries, cabinets or child-response accessories. Compatibility should be verified for every order.

Practical training

Prepare people around the equipment on site.

Training should connect response skills, roles and the actual AED program rather than sit beside it as a separate purchase.

Which training path should we request?

Share the audience, workplace or childcare context, approximate group size, delivery location and preferred timing. HeartSafe can then confirm the appropriate course path rather than asking you to guess.

Can practical training be added to an AED bundle?

Yes. Request the equipment and training together so responder practice, device orientation, placement and follow-through can be planned as one readiness program.

Does reading a manual replace hands-on training?

No. Reference material can support review, but it does not replace the practical instruction, skill assessment or course requirements that apply to the selected training program.

HeartTrak and follow-through

Keep readiness understandable after placement.

The public explanation uses the 3 Greens without exposing customer records or private operational detail.

What are the 3 Greens?

They are a simple readiness model: pads valid, battery ready and inspection current. They help explain the ongoing work without publishing a customer’s internal readiness status.

What information should we share in a HeartTrak inquiry?

Share only public program scope such as approximate AED and location counts, the current tracking approach and the support you want. Do not submit private inspection records, identifiers, notes or operational evidence through a public page.

Does missing information mean an AED has failed?

No. Missing information means the evidence or follow-up still needs review. It should not be presented publicly as a confirmed equipment or readiness failure.
